CSI file is provided by the Income Tax Department through its web portal for validating the Payment Challans reported in the quarterly TDS / TCS Return. CSI File is mandatory to be downloaded from the portal and is supposed to be used at the time of generating the FVU file through the File Validation Utility.

There are two different ways to download this file:
By logging into the portal with User ID & Password and downloading it from the appropriate section
Without logging in, one can click on the option ‘Download CSI File’ under ‘Quick Links’ and after entering the relevant information (TAN and Mobile number), an OTP is sent. After successful validation, follow the subsequent instructions and proceed to download the CSI File.
TDSMAN has made it convenient for its users to use any of the two options for seamlessly downloading the CSI file through the options as desired, for the successful generation of the FVU file through the File Validation Utility.
