   i had downloanded justification report from traces but while extracting zip message appears as “the archieve is either in unknon fromat or damaged” and another message as ” no archieves found”. pls guide.

   Justification open for the Traces utility version 2.1 is download after in traces download the file open Extract file Example in the JR Means Justification Report And TAN No. JR_BKLBD3213G_Q2_2015-16 after Excel file open link for the generate the file after file view.

   thanks for the hints, but both are not working me, from FY 2012-13 onwards JR_TAN_formtype_quarter_FY is working well, but for previous FYs even PRN is not working, please help

    As TRACES is maintained by most inefficient ISP “INFOSYS” so you have to do permutation combination. The pwd could either be
    “JR_TAN_FORMtype_Q9_yyyy-yy” or PRN of original return.

    The below mantioned password FORMAT for Justification Report pertaining the year 2007 t0 2012 does not work. Can someone trow light on this problem. TRACES is become a big joke. Is our Finance Minister listening. Did he check the background of the Team leading TRACES. If TRACES cannot handle TDS let the TIN-NSDL handle it. They were handing TDS process much much better

       I also tried to open Justification Report for 2011-12 fourth quarter but unable to open and the file with below password type also it is not in text format but in excel format. Can any one guide JR_AAAAA1235A_24Q_Q3_2010-11

       To open consolidated file just type of your pan no in caps letter then under score then token no which is showing when left side of down consolidated file in numerical letter.

    What is the password for opening Conso file?
    The password for opening Conso file will be your TAN_Request Number in capital letters.

       SORRY, Justification Report DOWNLOAD FROM TDS CPC WEBSITE. BUT I GIVE EXTRACT AND ENTER PASSWORD ITS SHOWING WRONG PASSWORD, I GIVE CORRECT FORMAT PASSWORD BUT DIDN’T EXTRACT THAT FILE. F.Y 2010-11 ONLY THIS PROBLEM SHOWING.
