New File Validation Utility (FVU 3.7) Released

New File Validation Utility – FVU 3.7 has been released pertaining to validation of eTDS & eTCS returns of Financial Year 2010-11 onwards, and will be compulsorily applicable with effect from 26th May 2013. Till 25th May 2013 the existing FVU 3.6 would also be applicable.

In compliance to the changes and new FVU versions, the TDSMAN Software is being accordingly updated and would be released for all its users within first week of May’ 2013.

Password to open consolidated FVU file downloaded from tdscpc.gov.in

tds softwareAs you know that to revised eTDS return consolidated FVU file is required and for that also now you have to go to the new website tdscpc.gov.in to download consolidated file.

After download the consolidated file from new website, we have to unzip it and to unzip this file, password is required.Correct password to open the Consolidated FVU file is now as under:

TAN NO_request number of  consolidated fvu file

means if you TAN is AMRA11492E and request number generated on tdscpc to download the file is 84365 then password to open the file is:
  AMRA11492E_84365
Request number can be checked here. First login to tdscpc.gov.in and click on the requested download link as shown the picture.

To download consolidated file you have to register at new website. If you have not registered your TAN on TRACES then first register your TAN at Traces and then start the procedure of downloading Form 16A.

NEW FVU 3.5 FILES RELEASED BY TIN-NSDL

New File Validation Utilities – FVU 3.5 have been released pertaining to validation of eTDS & eTCS returns.

FVU 3.5 will be applicable for quarterly TDS / TCS statements pertaining to FY 2010-11 onwards & FVU 2.132 will be applicable for quarterly TDS / TCS statements pertaining up to FY 2009-10.

Key features of File Validation Utility (FVU) version 3.5:

Changes in the structural validations of Book Identification Number (BIN) quoted in quarterly TDS/TCS statements for TDS/TCS deposits made by Book entry (applicable only in case of Govt. deductors). Deductor can now quote the Date of deduction beyond the quarter.

New File Validation Utilities – FVU 3.4 & 2.132 has  been released pertaining to validation of eTDS & eTCS returns.

FVU 3.4 will be applicable for quarterly TDS / TCS statements pertaining to FY 2010-11 onwards & FVU 2.132 will be applicable for quarterly TDS / TCS statements pertaining up to FY 2009-10.

Key features of File Validation Utility (FVU) version 3.4:

  • FVU 3.4 will be applicable for quarterly TDS / TCS statements pertaining to FY 2010-11 onwards.
  • Deductor can now quote the Date of deduction beyond the quarter.
  • FVU version 3.4 will be applicable with immediate effect.

  • FVU 2.132 will be applicable for quarterly TDS / TCS statements (regular and correction) up to FY 2009-10.
